E-mail Account Information
All students are required to check their Loyola Law School (lls) e-mail account on a regular basis, as e-mail is the official means of campus communication.
Every student has 50 megabytes of e-mail storage space. Once this amount is exceeded, you will not be able to send or receive e-mail. To monitor your e-mail storage, click onto the Options tab while in the e-mail client.
Mailing Lists
Official law school notices are sent to your lls e-mail account and are not distributed in paper. You are responsible for the contents of all such messages.
You can find more information on LLS mailing lists at the Student Affairs Web site.

Deleting Messages From Within the Trash Folder
Your LLS e-mail is automatically set so that when you "delete" a message from the Inbox or another folder, it's really not deleted - it's just sent to the Trash folder. You must periodically delete messages from the trash folder in order for the messages to be truly removed from your e-mail account. To do so manually, follow these steps:
From your Inbox, click onto the Folders button that is located at the top left corner of your monitor screen.
- In the column labeled Personal Folders , click onto Trash.
- To delete all e-mails from the trash folder, click into the very top white box, so that a check mark appears within each subsequent box. To delete only certain e-mails within the trash folder, simply click within the message's corresponding white box.
- Finally, click onto the Delete icon from the toolbar located near the top of the screen. By default, the message is automatically moved to your Trash folder.
To program your e-mail to automatically delete the trash folder on logout from the e-mail program, follow these instructions:
- Click onto the Options button located near the top of your monitor screen.
